wingS ... is net generation Swing
Wings is a web application framework based on [create Java] Servlets, resembling the Swing API with its MVC paradigm and event oriented design principles. It utilizes the models, events, and event listeners of Swing. Like in Swing, components are arranged in a hierarchy of containers, whose root container is hooked to a frame.
Since version 3 wingS utilizes AJAX for incremental updates of the client (browser window). This happens in a completely transparent manner. The application developer does not get in touch with complex JavaScript code and asynchronous event handling.
